Business Expo

      Ogemaw County is having a business and community expo Friday, July 15th. We are trying to get ready for it. There is a lot to think about, What to put up?, What giveaways?, also How to let people know what we are about?. We are trying to get the word out about us but there is still a lot of questions. We are also thinking about doing a seminar, to invite the community. We think this might help with the understanding of DPC. 

    We are trying to find other ways of connecting with the community. Something that will be fun and interactive. I found out that I really like promoting. It's just not easy to do in a small town. The expo will bring a lot of people. Last year when Dr Sperbeck was in the expo she only had one person that wanted to be a patient. Now that we are open and talking more about this maybe we can bring more patients in. 

    Patients are scared of new thing. I get it. We are trying to make it more affordable to the community, to get great health care. We can get patient in the same day not a week later like the other doctors around here. I would love to let everyone know the difference that this will make. People have to be willing to come in and talk to us ask questions. 

    We can do blood work for half the cost. Medications at retail price no mark ups. Diagnostic imaging for a low price. We have so many different samples for patients can try them out see if it helps, if so then we can order it for a lower price. We order our medication from the same place pharmacy do but we don't do a big price hike like they do. We keep everything low to make it more affordable. 

    With health insurance you have to pay every month, you will have a copay to see any doctor, and you will also have a deductible. On top of that you are paying a high price for labs, imaging, and prescriptions. Everyone now a days thinks that you have to have health insurance, because 6 years ago if you didnt you would be punished. You would have to pay the government for not having it. Why should we have to pay the government for something that we didn't need. What if you didn't need to go to the doctors because you are healthy? Why are we getting punished for taking care of yourself?

    We care about the patients we have. They are like family to us. That is what makes us different. Please If anyone reads this leave a comment I will answer any questions.

Social Media/red light therapy

 I'm not young anymore let me just put that out there. We are trying to do more with social media (Twitter/instagram/facebook/snapchat). We hope this will bring in more patients. I'm a little lost trying know things with social media. I think we have been doing ok with it but we think we could do better.  We did a ribbon cutting but that didn't bring in patients like with thought it would of. Self care

      I was talking to a patient on friday before I left work. She informed me her sister was going back to the hospital. Come to find out they sent her sister home with a colon collapse.  What is wrong with the hospitals? They never should of sent her home. She needs to have surgery. She is having surgery now, but they should of done that before they sent her home. Now she has an infection that is going to take time to clear up. This is the same thing I been hearing about from a lot of people the hospital don't have time to even look at patients. Why? Doctors go to school to help people not for the system to tell them otherwise. They refuse to do there job. It drives me crazy to not see the care that people need.      When covid happened care to patients went down hill. they shut down all medical offices.
