Terrific Tuesday

It's Tuesday take time for yourself even if it's only 10 mins. Think about what you want out of life. Plans for your future. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years I hope to be able to have more time for myself my boys will be grown, hopefully be independent. I do make time for myself but there are days it would be nice to have more of that. Don't get me wrong I love my kids more then anything but a little space here and there. I love doing thing with my family. It hard to get them all together at once. One is working, one loves his phone, and my baby feels left out he is to young to hang with big brothers. At the same time he is too old to hang with mom all day.  I was the youngest I understand how he feels. He is still in the stage were he don't know what he likes, he is trying new thing but he gives up to fast if it dont go his way. He looks at thing so different then the others he is the hugging loving kid. Everything is rainbows and puppy dogs, until it

Mindful Monday

Start the week out with an open mind. Try new things, you never know you might like something. I cleaned my living room and dining room yesterday and changed things around. We all need to look at different thing. It feels so wide and open now. I would of never thought it would of made such a big difference if I wouldn't of tried it. My husband wasn't happy at first but then he realized that it wasn't cramped any more. Open your mind up even if other people don't like it right a way they will come around. Sometimes thing are hard to proses at first but then we get used to it. We have to learn to live outside of the bubble we created. It not easy to be a hermit. I'm a homebody I love my house and my family. So we stay home alot. We all need to change things around make is more interesting. I opened my mind now you all should try it.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for my family and friends that stand behind me. I have been learning new thing about Direct Primary Care today thing I thought I already new but there is more to it then people know. I have been in the medical field for 16 almost 17 years now and never heard of HITECH law until today. It's a little different than HIPAA, but the same. It started when everything went to EMR system. Well before that but more people are talking more about is now because of EMR. To make it easy for everyone to understand it helps protect us from the health insurance. So if we go to the hospital because of a surgery, you don't have to use your insurance if you can get a better rate doing cash. Under HITECH law the hospital is not allowed to release your info to your health insurance.  I love learning new things. I'm so thankful for this new job with Dr. Sally Sperbeck I learn new thing every day working with her. DPC is new to me so I know it can be complicated to explain. When you

Wellness Wednesday!!!

What you go through each day doesn't define your worth. Never let a bad day be the excuse to stop trying. Better days are coming. Your worthy and enough. Ask yourself  "what do I need today"? Not "what do i have to do today"? It all about how you ask the question not the answer to the question. We all have stuff to do every day it what you do with that day that makes the difference. I'm going to change the way I look at things starting today. Not everything we go thought is bad some time life puts us in situation to see how we deal with it. I can handle alot but sometime we all feel to broken to move. We should all go for a walk every day. Even if its a short walk just get up and move.  Remember drink more water, take time to eat, go for a walk, and get a good night's rest. Work on yourself, take care for yourself.

Freedom Of Speech

I have wrote 2 blogs that facebook said I was unable to share because of the title. Yesterday it was Monday after how is that bad. I didn't say morning after. That's not bad either. There are no swear words. The other one was on a Wednesday so I put hump day. Why is it ok to have that on TV, but I'm unable to write it in a blog. It not a nasty word unless you make it a nasty word. All I was saying is, it's the middle of the week and we are almost to Friday. Facebook or someone takes things to far. I never posted it on anyone's page only on our work page.  This is why we started Direct Primary Care so the government can't tell us what to do. They still get there cut of taxes, but that is all they get out of us. We are here for our patients not for insurance company. Not for the government to tell us how to take care of our patience. We live in the USA not in a dictatorship country. This why people are fed up. We are just trying to build up this practice. You nee

Monday After

We all had a long weekend. I want to thank everyone that showed up to the West Branch Business Expo. It's so nice to see the community come together and support West Branch small businesses. We didn't have a lot of people sign up with us but that's ok. I was at a wedding this weekend so I was unable to go. Dr. Sally Sperbeck said they had about 200 people show up. I think it was because of the rain why a lot of people stayed home.  I sent out 15 Thank you letters for the one that showed up and put in for our drawing. We did have a winner. I called her this morning she was happy to know she won. We are thinking about doing a gift basket for the fair. I will be there by myself in August for the fair. We will have a booth on Wednesday the 17th. I hope we have more people that will stop over to see me.

love rain

I love rainy days. It washes all the bad away and brings good to the world. Helps thing grow. Just as the rain brings a clean scent and new life, rain lovers also appreciate the cleansing renewal of a good cry. One of the pluviophiles favorite ways to spend a rainy day is snuggled up on the couch or in bed while watching a good tearjerker. More time indoors with the family watching movies or shows that we are just too busy to watch. Family is the biggest thing in my life sometimes they can drive you crazy, but the love is alway there.

Hump Daaaaaay!!!

The week is almost over. Two more days and we will be at the expo. Grab bags are almost done. Still working on saving cards. We want to make sure they are going to be good savings for everyone. We are also going to be doing a drawing for one free year of care.  Grand prize drawing for four tickets to the Peking Acrobats show at the Midland Center for the Arts. We might be doing a little to much but at least we can say we went above and beyond for the community. Starts at 5:30pm to 8pm. We would like to thank everyone for the support we have from the community.

Self Care

You need to care about your health be before you care for someone else. Your health is the most important thing. You can't take care of your family if your 6 feet under. They need you by their side. You can help everyone in the world but you need to help yourself before the world. You can't pour from an empty cup take care of yourself first. Check in with yourself. How am I feeling right now? Are my needs being meet? What are my goals for today? How does my body feel?  Thing you can do right now use your imagination, envision the future, appreciate the small things, and smile. I understand it's hard to do some days but just looking at things different can make the difference. I like to learn something new every day. Reading is a good way of leaning. It don't have to be a book it can be a BLOG. It can be the internet. It can be social media. Just be careful not everything you read is true. That's where you learn what is right and what is wrong.

That Monday Morning Glow!!!

So far from Friday. Yet Friday is so close to Monday. I'm trying to get so much done this week. I know it just started but I feel like I cant get it all done. We have the expo Friday. I'm trying to get the saving cards done. I have an idea on how they should be but then I have to change everything around. Why can't this week go normal without someone changing thing all the time. I have been working my butt off on all this if its not good enough then someone else can do it im over working so hard and stressing out.  I also have been calling different surgical centers trying to find out what cash prices they have so far they are about the same 40% off. It's not bad the only thing is you also have to pay for labs, anasteguolagy, and the doctor. So i'm not getting a straight answer out of anyone. Which sucks because then I have to figure that out to. One place was able to give me a ruff estimate on how much it would cost. She was so nice to talk to but the price was hi

Friday Fun Day!!!

Happy Friday Everyone. We signed up 10 new patients today. We had fun talking to them. They are with a company that signed all their employees up. They are even paying half the membership for them. Wish more companies would look closer at what we are trying to do for the community. It would save them a lot of money in the long run. It will also keep them working. Most of our patients are heather because they can call us or come in any time they need to. So if they are sick we can give them medication right away they don't have to wait on anything.  I was sick a month ago I called Dr. Sperbeck and she gave me medication and I was back to work the next day. I don't miss work for nothing so being able to call her and get what I need right away is what everyone needs. Talk to your boss let them know we are giving out deals right now for businesses If 100% of your employees sign up its $50 monthly, if half sign up its $55 monthly. Make a deal with them they pay half you pay the oth

Grab Bags

We are getting ready for the business expo for July 15th. West Branch Area Chamber of Commerce  is putting it on. It's a good way to get your business out there and have the support of the community.  They will have a job fair if anyone is looking for a job. Sally Sperbeck D.O. did it last year and said it was a big turn out. We are trying everything we can think of to get our name out there. We think this one will be fun. We have a wheel of fortune game that we will have some really good coupons that will save you money. T-shirts with our logo on them. We just finished putting together the grab bags they have lip balm, samples, coupons, magnet, can opener, and business cards.   I will not be able to make it to the expo I a family thing to go to but i'm giving my support to everyone that will be there. Small businesses need thing more than anyone else. That's one thing I love about this town they support all small businesses. I wish all towns had that kind of heart. Everyo

Social Media/red light therapy

I'm not young anymore let me just put that out there. We are trying to do more with social media (Twitter/instagram/facebook/snapchat). We hope this will bring in more patients. I'm a little lost trying know things with social media. I think we have been doing ok with it but we think we could do better.  We did a ribbon cutting but that didn't bring in patients like with thought it would of. We also do whatever we can with chamber of commerce. Still nothing. To break even we need about 200 more patients. To bring money in, so we can keep open we will need double that. I sent out emails today for businesses for them to sign up their employees. I hope at least 6 of them will contact us. We are hopeful that direct primary care will be a great thing for the area. You can't buy or support your family off hope. We wish we could but that a dream not life.  I would love it if people would learn more about us and then they would know how we could help. We are setting up red lig

Morning after

After a long weekend it's hard to get up and motivated. It was a great weekend with family. We cooked out and tried new foods. How was your weekend? Did you enjoy it? How do you celebrate 4th of July? For the 8 years we would go to my dads and watch the fireworks. Things did change after the flood and covid. This year we were able to watch the fireworks with him again. It makes us happy to know that things are going back to normal. Slowly but I have a feeling the world is healing from all the negativity.  Stress is a hard thing to deal with. I feel when covid started it took over a new meaning to stress and anxiety. People were out of work and they closed down schools. It was hard on everyone. Then the dams breaking and the big flood happen. People in 3 counties lost their homes and had no place to go. None of this should of happened but it did. The good thing that came out of all the bad was the way we see all the communities come together and help in any way they could.  People

Happy Friday

Please be safe this Holiday Weekend. No drinking and driving. Someone is always willing to drive you, you just need to ask. Why would you want to risk hurting someone or yourself. I'm also including an article to hopefully help save someone's life. You don't have to like what I say, but please remember someone is waiting for you to come home safe. You only die once but you live everyday so make them days longer with those who care about you. You can call a cab or even the cops they will find you a way to get home safe. Cops are not the bad guys they are there for the  community. To keep it safe for others and you. Just think before you ack it could save a life. Have fun this 4th of July hang with family and friends. Enjoy America and all that it stands for what we all stand for. The land of the free because of the brave.   Impairment is not reliant upon the type of alcohol consumed, rather the number of drinks over a certain period of time. Despite myths and misconcep
