Ribbon Cutting

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony is underway only 9 more days. We are having finger foods and drinks. No alcohol!!! Just though I should add that last part in. I can't wait to see the community and have everyone here. We have been working so hard. Our patients mean so much to use. This has been a journey, with in the last couple of months. It has been worth every minute. I talked to a patient today and realized, when we do talk to people that come in it's like we are talking to a friend or family member. Some that come in are closer to us then even some family members. We feel a connection to them. It makes you worm and fuzzy on the inside knowing that they love to come in and talk to us about anything.

I was told that people like coming in here because they don't feel embarrassed about anything. They can talk to us about deep problems or even  things that they have never told anyone. They are comfortable to come in because we make it feel like home. When you walk in the door it's not stuffy or white (like i have seen at doctors office). The doctor here don't act or dress like she is above anyone. We are all equal. When people feel that way everything spills out. It's a good thing because then we can find out what is really going on. They don't hind in a there feeling.

One patient that comes in brings her dog because he makes her feel better (we love when he comes in, he is a very good dog). We will do whatever is necessary for the patients to feel comfortable. Nowadays people have emotionally animals we understand it makes them feel better just knowing they are not by themselves. No one wants to be alone.

I hope that this ribbon-cutting will help people understand we are here for them not just money. Health and wellness is the biggest thing for a long healthy life. Everyone wants to see their family grow and watch the mile stones. Not be a vegetable laying in a bed or chair. People want to be present and interact.

If you have a chance or live in this area please come to the ribbon-cutting. Also check out the Ogemaw County Voice they did an interview with us last week and put in the paper.
