Snake plants

Image
Snake plant is one of the most popular and hardy of houseplants. With sword-like leaves it can grow anywhere from six inches to eight feet tall. Snake plants can come in different colors, many have green-banded leaves with yellow border. These plants are easy to grow. You can put them in any part of your home and they will live, with very bright light or in a dark corner. Snake plants will grow slowly in indoor light , but when its exposure to light it will boost growth. With that being said if you want a smaller plant keep it farther away from the sun light.  Snake plant is an ideal choice for beginners that don't have a green thumb. Its difficult to kill. The plant prefers indirect, steady light. They can adapt to full sun. The soil needs to be loose, sandier soil is best. For watering let the soil dry between watering. During the winter, reduce watering to monthly. Temperature should be at 70 to 90 degrees its ok if it drops low just make sure it never gets below 50 degree...

Oatmeal Bath

Image
Winter is hard on the skin. Soothe your dry, itchy skin with DIY oatmeal bath. An oatmeal bath is simple. It hydrates dry skin and offers relief from eczema. We recommend an oatmeal bath for skin condition. You can make your own at home for less than a dollar. All you need is quick or instant oats, just make sure they are unflavored. For a full bath all you need is 1 cup full of oatmeal. blend up the oats into powder. Then pour the oatmeal into a tub of running warm water and stir the water with your hands several times to ensure even distribution. Soak in the tube for 15 to 20 minutes. Remember this bath is not to clean your skin but to moisturize and soothe the skin, so avoid using soaps.  Skin conditions soothed by oatmeal baths: Acne, rash, dry skin, eczema, insect bites, poison ivy, oak, sumac, shingles, sunburn, and windburn.  I understand some people don't have a bath tube. I don't have a bath tube, I put the oats in a old sock and rub that all over my skin with w...

American healthcare

Image
With healthcare inflammation cost now a days I ask myself why do we bow down and say yes sir. That not what we americans fought for. We stand up and speak up. Nowadays everyone is to scared to do that, Why? Everyone is scared of the  government but I ask again why? This is the land of the free. We can chose not to use there high cost health insurance and see a DPC provider. You don't have to have the best of the best health insurance you can get the high deductible plan, low monthly out of pocket plan. It will save you money. I believe that DPC providers can keep you healthy and out of the hospital. If something big does happen then you will have to pay that big deductible but that's a big IF. Thats where they try to scare you in to buying the big monthly out of pocket because IF you are hospitalised you won't have a big bill. Really does that make any sense. I have never been in the hospital longer than a day i'm hitting 40,...

Appointment every day if needed

Image
I still think this meme is great. We will see patients everyday if they need it. For a low monthly amount. I think it's crazy for an office to never have any appointments available for sick visits or medication refills. Ether you wait a month to get in or they tell you to go to the hospital, which cost an arm and a leg every time you walk in the door at the hospital. You should be able to see or call your own doctor when you need them. That's how we work at West Branch DPC. Any time or day, morning or night, even holidays, and weekends. That is why the office is only open six hours a day so if we have to come in and help the patients. Let us know if you need a late appointment or weekend appointment we are here to help.

Simple math

Image
Simple Math: When you take the health insurance out, it becomes so clear that it's just you and your doctor. That's the nice thing about DPC, we are and always will be balanced. We will listen to you, hear you, and take care of you. We will not do what the health insurance says. It's you and your doctor that have the first and last opinion. That’s the way it was before and that's how we want it to be again. We might just be simple practice but simple and easy is what everyone needs.  Common core Math: The insurance companies want you to be confused, So then you do what they want you to do. Why if a Doctor with a medical degree says this treatment will help, the insurance said no try this because it is cheaper. Cheaper isn't better, it will not work the same way.  They never went to medical school to understand medications or treatments.  When looking for health insurance for 2023 please think carefully. Also look into a DPC doctor. If you talk to most of them they g...

Grateful

I'm so grateful to have Dr Sperbeck. I have had some health problems for the past 7 years and no one can find what was wrong. She has went above and beyond to help me. I found out 3 weeks ago I have Sjogrens Syndrome. Which makes a lot of sense after doing research on it.  I have done different blood work with in the past 7 years. Most of the time everything came back normal. She had me do a whole different lab panel that even I never heard of. (Side note I have been in the medical field for 16yrs.) It broke ANA test down in like 20 different categories. My ANA is borderline. Which that means negative in the lab world, But when its broken down you can seen what marker is high. That's how we found out. Yes it sucks knowing that I have something that won't just go away with medication. I'm so happy to have an answer. Most of the time for patients that's what we need, an answer. It was always so hurtful to hear your labs are normal when you know this is not normal. I ...

Need Affordable Health Care???

Everyone needs affordable health care. Some need it because of lack of money coming in or maybe to much going out because of det. Whatever the outcome Direct Primary Care can help with that. Its a low monthly payment and most of your medication is at a discount price. How could you bet that? How much do you send on your health insurance now? I think everyone should add up how much they spend on their medical care every month. With that being said me personally I seen a DPC doctor im on two medications and I just had blood work done, I sent only $80 this month on a full physical with everything done. When I had health insurance I did a full physical that did not include all labs, EKG, or a breathing test, that physical cost me $463. That a $ 383 savings. HELLO wake up people and that was only a month think about in a year on how much I just saved. Insurance will tell you, "you get one free physical a year". That's only to see the doctor. That appointment is only 10 mins l...

Seminar

I have not wrote a Blog in over a month. I was upset with Facebook for taking them down even when they were not bad. I now decided that I should not let my opinion matter. As long as I put DPC first  so thats what im doing. I have made DPC part of my life now.  We are doing a seminar in October to talk about DPC. I hope this will help others. Kory Agency is joining us. They have been a big help to a lot of our patience all ready. We have plans that will save you money and time. We are calling the seminar "Need Affordable Health Care".  It's only a month away from choosing your health coverage for 2023. It time we start reaching out to the ones that cant get affordable health care. We don't care why you don't have health insurance. All we care about is how can we help.  I will be posting more about this for the next month, so stay tuned. I hope to see a lot of new people at this seminar.

Terrific Tuesday

It's Tuesday take time for yourself even if it's only 10 mins. Think about what you want out of life. Plans for your future. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years I hope to be able to have more time for myself my boys will be grown, hopefully be independent. I do make time for myself but there are days it would be nice to have more of that. Don't get me wrong I love my kids more then anything but a little space here and there. I love doing thing with my family. It hard to get them all together at once. One is working, one loves his phone, and my baby feels left out he is to young to hang with big brothers. He is still in the stage were he don't know what he likes, he is trying new thing but he gives up to fast if it dont go his way. He looks at thing so different then the others he is the hugging loving kid. Everything is rainbows and puppy dogs, until it ...
